بررسي هم‌سنج عقلانيت در آراي سيدحسين نصر و ريچارد رورتي

An inline consideration of rationalism in the works of Seyyed Hussain Nasr and Richard Rorty

ريچارد رورتي فيلسوفي نوپراگماتيسم و ضدذات‌گرا و سيدحسين نصر فيلسوفي سنت‌گرا، هر دو از برجسته‌ترين رهبران فكري در فلسفۀ معاصر هستند. آن‌ها با به چالش كشيدن بنيادها و معيارهاي عقلانيت در فلسفۀ مدرن، به‎ويژه آن دسته از معيارهايي كه موجب گسترش روزافزون عقلانيت علمي ‌مي گردد، خواهان بسط عقلانيت در حوزه هاي ديگري از تلاش­هاي بشري، حوزه هايي چون ادبيات، هنر و علوم انساني بر اساس دغدغه­ها و نگرش‎هاي فلسفي خويش هستند. با بررسي دقيق وجوه ناهمسان و همسان آراي فلسفي نصر و رورتي دربارۀ عقلانيت و نقد هر يك، محدوديت‌ها و كاستي­هاي فلسفۀ مدرن  پيرامون مفهوم عقلانيت درك مي‌گردد؛ محدوديت­ها و كاستي­هايي كه نيازمند ايجاد دگرگوني هاي جدي و بسط و تعديل هستند. اين دگرگوني و تعديل آرا در فلسفۀ نصر با تمركز بر جنبه هاي بي زمان و سرمدي انسان، با راهيابي حقيقت مطلق به ساير علوم صورت مي پذيرد و در فلسفۀ رورتي با تمركز بر جنبه هاي تاريخي و زماني با خلق همبستگي و روابط دموكراتيك ميان همۀ انسان ها. ديدگاه هاي نصر و رورتي، با وجود تفاوت هاي بنياديني كه دارند، با آشكار ساختن آسيب هاي عقلانيت مدرن، رهگشاي حل بسياري از مسائل در فلسفۀ معاصر گشته‌اند.

Richard Rorty, who is a newpragmatist and antiessentialist philosopher, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr, who is a traditionalist, are both of the prominent thought leaders in contemporary philosophy. Having challenged the rationality foundations and criteria in modern philosophy, especially the criteria which expand the scientific rationality day by day, they intend to expand rationality based on their own philosophic views in other areas including literature, art, and humanities. A careful studying of similar and different aspects of Nasr and Rorty’s philosophic opinions about rationality and criticizing them lead to understanding the limitations and shortcomings of modern philosophy as far as the concept of rationality is concerned, the ones which need to be changed, expanded, or moderated. Changing and moderating Nasr’s views is carried out through focusing on timeless and eternal aspects of man, and reaching the absolute truth to other sciences. Regarding Rorty’s philosophy, the same thing is happening by focusing on time and historical aspects, by creating correlation and democratic relations among all the men. Despite the fact that Nasr and Rorty’s views have fundamental differences, they have been the key to solving many problems in contemporary philosophy by revealing the damages of modern rationality.
