Effects of midwiviesʹ emotional support on clinical delivery trend

Pregnancy and delivery are important events in womenʹs life. As they can have long term effects on their lives, some precise researches in this field Iook essential. Some studies have shown fulfilling of the emotional needs of women at this time as the most effective strategy to provide them with the most appropriate condition in which This is a quasi experimental study focusing on the 94 pregnant women with true delivery pain referring to selected maternity units. This was an easy sampling in which the samples were selected well qualified to enter the study and then randomly divided into two groups(each 47) of case (interventional) and control (routine care). The data gathering tool was composed of checklists open question concerning the pregnant womenʹs expectation of delivery answered through an interview, K2, T, descriptive inferential statistical analysis were used for data analysis by SPSS software. The findings of the research show emotional needs of women during delivery affects delivery time as well as second stage of delivery (a significant difference) minimum durotion of active phase in interventional group was 120 minutes and in control group was 200 minutes. The findings of this research show supportive behaviors during delivery can significantly reduce delivery time, and promote womenʹs mental health.
