Relationship between Futurism and Educational Performance of students in Medical Sciences of Shiraz University: Mediation Role of Goal Orientation

مقدمه: آينده نگري به عنوان يك ويژگي بر روي جهت گيري هدف و عملكرد تحصيلي دانشجويان تأثيرگذار است و دانشگاه ها در پرورش و توسعه اين خصيصه در دانشجويان نقش تعيين كننده اي دارند. لذا هدف پژوهش حاضر تعيين ارتباط بين آينده نگري و عملكرد تحصيلي با لحاظ نمودن نقش ميانجي جهت گيري هدف انجام شد. روش ها: روش پژوهش توصيفي تحليلي از نوع همبستگي بود كه بر روي 197 نفر از دانشجويان رشته پزشكي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي شيراز در سال تحصيلي 94-93 انجام شد. ابزارهاي اين پژوهش شامل دو پرسشنامه سنجش آينده نگري و جهت گيري هدف بود. روايي پرسشنامه از طريق روايي محتوايي و پايايي آلفاي كرونباخ براي مؤلفه آينده نگري به صورت كلي (0.72) و مؤلفه جهت گيري هدف (0.74) مورد تأييد قرار گرفت. بر اين اساس پرسشنامه بين نمونه توزيع و داده ها از روش تحليل مسير بر اساس مراحل بارون و كني با استفاده از نرم افزار آماري SPSS مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفتند. يافته ها: نتايج حاصل از پژوهش نشان داد كه آينده نگري دانشجويان به نحو مثبت و معني داري عملكرد تحصيلي آنان را پيش بيني مي كند ( rho<0.0001 ، 6.24=F). مؤلفه هاي آينده نگري اثر معني داري بر جهت گيري هدف عملكرد گرايش دارند ( p<0.0001، 4.787=F). همچنين مؤلفه هاي جهت گيري هدف عملكرد گرايش ( rho<.001 ، 0.33=beta ) و جهت گيري هدف تسلط گرايش (rho<0.001 ، 0.37=beta ) به نحو مثبت و معني داري عملكرد تحصيلي دانشجويان را پيش بيني كرد. نتيجه گيري: بر اساس نتايج پژوهش حاضر، آينده نگري و داشتن نگرش مثبت نسبت به آينده نقش مهمي در جهت گيري هدف فرد دارد، زيرا انگيزه اي كه از نگرش به آينده در فرد ايجاد مي گردد به معناي پيش بيني اهدف آينده در زمان حاضر خواهد بود، و طبيعتاً تلاش فرد را در كسب عملكرد بالا و به دنبال آن ارتقاء تحصيلي افزايش مي يابد.

Introduction: futurism as a feature effects on students goal orientation and academic performance. Universities have a significant role in nurturing and developing this character. Therefore, aim of this study is to examine the relationship between Futurism and academic performance considering the role of goal orientation as a mediator. Methods: This study was an analytic ndash descriptive, correlation research. The population included all students in Medical Sciences of Shiraz University that the research sle consists of 197 students of Medical Sciences of Shiraz University in 2014 which were selected by random sling method. Research tools consist of future assessing questionnaire and goal orientation questionnaire. Content validity was favorably and Component reliability futurism was (72.0) and goal orientation was (74.0). Then, data were analysed using analysis method based on Baron and Kenny And SPSS software. Results: The results showed that Studentrsquo s futurism predicts significantly their educational performance (F=6/240, pgt 0.0001). Components of futurism have significant effect on performanceapproach goal orientation (F= 4/787, pgt 0.0001), Also the goal orientation variables such as performanceapproach (B=0/33, pgt 0.0001) and masteryapproach (B=0.37, pgt 0.0001) predict significantly the degree of studentrsquo s educational performance. Conclusion: According to these results, futurism and having a positive attitude about the future have important role in goal orientation because motivation that is created in a persons attitude to the future is meant to predict the future goals at the moment and of course increases trying to get a highperformance and conse quentry promote of education.
