The Idea of Iranshahr in the Historiography and Governance of Nadir-shah Afshar’s Era

مهم‌ترين ويژگي و وجه مميزه تاريخ و فرهنگ ايران‌زمين، استمرار تاريخي آن در ادوار مختلف است. تمدن‌هاي باستاني مختلفي از آغاز تاريخ تا به امروز وجود داشته‌اند؛ اما كم‌تر تمدني را مي‌توان سراغ داشت كه به زندگي و پويايي خود از هزاران سال پيش تاكنون ادامه داده باشد. تمدن يونان با تمام عظمت و اهميت، تنها محدود به يك دوره باستاني شد و سپس از بين رفت و درنهايت به بخشي از امپراتوري‌هاي ديگر تبديل شد؛ اما تمدن ايراني با ماهيت آريايي خود در هر دوره به نحوي زندگي خود را ادامه داده است و به‌رغم اين‌كه دستخوش تغييراتي شده اما همچنان هسته سخت خود را حفظ كرده است. يكي از دلايل اين استمرار تاريخي، سنت ديواني و دولت‌مداري در ايران بود كه همواره از نسلي به نسل ديگر منتقل‌شده و بخش مهمي از ايده ايرانشهري را تشكيل مي‌داد. در اين نوشتار به چگونگي استمرار ايده ايرانشهر در دوره نادري و با تمركز بر تاريخ‌نگاري درباري خواهيم پرداخت. بررسي تاريخ درباري با اين فرض مورد تاكيد است كه به نظر مي‌رسد اين دست از نوشته‌ها، به اراده و سليقه پادشاه و جريان اصلي قدرت نزديك‌تر بوده‌اند. پژوهش حاضر با ماهيت بنيادي و روش توصيفي ـ تحليلي سعي دارد با استفاده از منابع كتابخانه‌اي به اين پرسش پاسخ دهد كه چه تصوري از ايده ايرانشهري در عصر نادرشاه وجود داشت. نتايج نشان مي‌دهد كه انديشه ايرانشهري در ساحت نظر پررنگ بود اما در عمل و حوزه دولتداري و اداره رگه‌هاي كمرنگي از آن ديده مي‌شد.

Perhaps the most important feature of the Iranian culture is its continuation throughout different historical periods. There have existed numerous different civilizations from the past to the present but a few of them have been able to continue their existence from thousands of years ago to today. With all its importance and grandeur, the Greek civilization was limited to a very short period in the ancient world and became part of other empires. The Iranian civilization has somehow been able to continue its existence, however. While the civilization has been changed in different times, it has maintained its core principles. One of the reasons for the historical continuation was the bureaucratic and statehood tradition which was transferred from one generation to another. This tradition is an important part of the idea of Iranshahr. This study investigates the how of the continuation of the idea of Iranshahr during the Nadir Afshar’s government by focusing on the court historiography. The assumption of the study is that those works were the reflection of the king’s and the mainstream elites’ will. Also, this study premises on the continuation of the idea of Iranshahr. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the required data are collected from primary sources. This study seeks to answer this question that how the idea of Iranshahr was presented in the Naderi era. The analysis suggests that while the idea was pronounced in theory, it did not have a strong presence in the arena of statehood and bureaucracy.
