تحليل مقايسه‌اي آراء آكويناس و ابن‌سينا درباره علم فرشتگان

Comparative analysis of Aquinas and Ibn sina’s viewpoints about the knowledge of angels

در اين نوشتار، ديدگاه آكويناس و ابن‌سينا درباره علم فرشته بررسي و تحليل شده است و وجوه اشتراك و اختلاف آن‌ها را در اين خصوص بيان كرده‌ايم. با اينكه آكويناس و ابن‌سينا هر دو متأثَر از سنّت ارسطويي بوده‌اند؛ ولي چون جهان‌شناسي آن‌ها از جهاتي متفاوت است، درباره جايگاه علم فرشته به نتايج مختلفي رسيده‌اند. آكويناس و ابن‌سينا هر دو معتقدند كه فرشتگان طبايع عقلاني هستند؛ بنابراين مشخّصه اصلي آن‌ها علم است؛ ولي با اين تفاوت كه ابن‌سينا علم فرشته را علّت ايجادي موجودات مادون خود مي‌داند؛ ولي آكويناس معتقد است كه فرشتگان نقش ايجادي و علّي در عالم ندارند و كيفيّت علم فرشته بيشتر به امور مادون با درجه بساطت ذات آن تبيين‌پذير است. ازسوي‌ديگر، ابن‌سينا معتقد است كه فرشته، جزئي را از طريق كلي (به معناي ثابت و لايتغير) مي‌شناسد؛ ولي آكويناس مي‌گويد كه فرشته، جزئي را به ما هو جزئي مي‌شناسد.

Abstract In this article, we will analyze the viewpoints of Aquinas and Ibn Sina about the knowledge of angels, then will show their similarities and differences regarding this topic. Although both Aquinas and Ibn Sina are affected by Aristotelian tradition but due to their different cosmology their views about this concept is different in some aspects, therefore they draw different conclusions about the place of angel’s knowledge. Aquinas and Ibn Sina both believe that angels are intellectual entities and their major characteristic is cognition, but Ibn Sina believes that the angel’s knowledge is the cause of inferior beings but Aquinas maintains that angels haven’t a causal role in universe and the knowledge of superior angel in relation to inferior angel is explainable by simplicity of its essence. On the other hand, Ibn Sina believes that angels know the particular thing through universal concept (that is, constant and unchangeable affairs), but Aquinas says that the angel know particular qua particular.
