A Discussion on the transferring of Manouchehr’s defeat by Afrasiab to Nozar

بعضي از روايت‌هاي شاهنامه با ديگر منابع متفاوت است. يكي از دلايل اين تفاوت، تغييراتي است كه در روايت‌‌هاي حماسي رخ مي‌دهد و به بعضي از منابع مي‌رسد كه يك نمونه از اين تغييرات، انتقال يك خويشكاري، عمل و... از شخصي به شخص ديگر است. از نمونه‌هاي اين مقوله، انتقال شكست منوچهر از افراسياب به دوران نوذر در شاهنامه است. اين جنگ كه در اغلب روايت‌هاي قبل، هم‌زمان و حتي بعد از فردوسي به منوچهر منسوب بوده، در شاهنامه به دوران نوذر منتقل شده است. در اين مقاله سعي شده پس از بررسي روايت‌ها، اصالت آنها و علت اين انتقال روشن شود. نتايج پژوهش نشانگر اين است كه از طرفي منوچهر در گذر زمان، چهره‌اي مينوي يافته و از طرفي، نوذر چهره‌اي منفي پيدا كرده است. بنابراين مي‌بايست در آغاز، اين شكست در دوران منوچهر بوده و در روايت‌هاي متأخر و نزديك به عصر فردوسي به دوران نوذر منتقل شده باشد.

Some of the narratives in Shahnameh are different from what cited in other sources. One of the reasons for this discrepancy could be the changes that happen in epic narratives and are transferred to other sources. An instance of such changes is the transference of dutifulness, action, etc. from one person to another. The transference of Manouchehr’s defeat by Afrasiab to the time of Nozar in Shahnameh is a good example in this regard. This war which was related to Manouchehr in most of the narratives before, at the time of and after Ferdowsi was later on transferred to the time of Nozar in Shahnameh. This study is aimed at investigating the narratives in order to determine their originality and the reason for this transference. The results indicate that Manouchehr has obtained a favorable character throughout time whereas Nozar has obtained a negative face. As such, this defeat must have occurred at the time of Manouchehr and later on in recent narratives close to the time of Ferdowsi have been transferred to the time of Nozar.
