پژوهش حاضر به بررسي رابطه متقابل بين پيكربندي فضايي و نظام فعاليت ها در مقياس عرصه‌هاي جمعي از طريق دسته بندي فعاليت‌هاي جمعي و اندازه‌گيري داده هاي نحوي خانه‌ها مي پردازد. براي تعيين خواسته مورد نظر تعداد 110 خانه از سه گونه مسكن كوهدشت به صورت غير تصادفي با توجه به روش مبتني بر هدف و ملاحظات انتخاب گرديد؛ براي تحليل فعاليت‌هاي جمعي از مصاحبه ابزار – غايت، مشاهده و ثبت فعاليت‌ها استفاده شد و براي همخواني و پيدايي مهمترين فعاليت‌ها از روش تحليل تناظر استفاده شد. يافته‌هاي پژوهش حاكي از آنست، گونه‌هاي مسكن پيكربندي‌هاي متفاوتي دارند اما با وجود تغيير پيكربندي فضايي، سيستم فعاليت‌ها تغيير نكرده و ساكنان خود را با فضاهاي مورد نظر انطباق داده اند. ميزان پاسخ گويي ساكنان به تطبيق پذيري بستگي به تامين نيازهاي فضايي-رفتاري آنها دارد؛ بنابراين استمرار سيستم فعاليت‌ها نشان از قدرت قانونمندي هاي فرهنگي- اجتماعي است. ساكنان ترجيحات كالبدي خود را با تغييرات تطبيق داده و رفتارها، ارزش‌ها و نيازهاي خود را با آن هماهنگ مي كنند. توانايي افراد در انطباق با محيط، نتايج تحليل‌هاي نحو فضا را مورد ترديد قرار مي‌دهد، لذا پيشنهاد مي‌شود جهت اعتبار بخشي بيشتر به تحليل هاي نحوي سطح رضايتمندي نيز بررسي گردد.
