مطالعه تطبيقي ويژگي هاي مدخل‌هاي زندگينامه‎اي در فرهنگنامه كودكان و نوجوانان با دايره‌المعارف‌‌هاي چاپي مشابه انگليسي زبان

Comparative Study on the Joint Biographical Entries within the Iranian Encyclopedia for Young People and Similar printed English Language Encyclopedias

هدف: پژوهش حاضر، با هدف بررسي تطبيقي وضعيت دايره‌المعارف‌ هاي مورد مطالعه بر اساس متغيرهاي پژوهش (تعداد مدخل، ساختار، نگارش، اعتبار، روزآمدي، انواع زندگينامه) گرفته است.روش: پژوهش از نوع كاربردي است و براي انجام آن از روش مطالعۀ تطبيقي و تحليل محتوا استفاده شده است. جامعۀ آماري پژوهش سه دايره‌المعارف كودكان و نوجوانان شامل فرهنگنامۀ كودكان و نوجوانان، دايره‌المعارف كتاب جهان، و دايره‌المعارف كودكان بريتانيكا است. جامعۀ آماري پژوهش به تعداد 432 مدخل بوده كه 67 مدخل به عنوان نمونه از هر دايره‌المعارف انتخاب شده و در مجموع 201 مدخل زندگينامه‌اي مشترك مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است.يافته‌ها: يافته‌ها نشان دادكه در مؤلفه‌هاي ارزيابي (تعداد مدخل، ساختار، نگارش، اعتبار، روزآمدي، انواع زندگينامه) فرهنگنامۀ كودكان و نوجوانان رتبۀ اول را هم به لحاظ فراواني حضور معيارها و هم به لحاظ كيفيت معيارهاي مورد بررسي داشته است. يافته‌هاي مربوط به انواع زندگينامه‌ها در دايره‌المعارف‌هاي جامعۀ آماري پژوهش نشان مي‌دهدكه هيچ‌يك از منابع مورد مطالعه از جامعيت در زندگينامه‌ها برخوردار نيستند و همگي آن‌ها در مدخل‌هاي زندگينامه‌اي داراي ويژگي گزيده هستند و به همين ترتيب همه دايره‌المعارف‌ها به لحاظ زماني از نوع گذشته‌نگر بوده‌اند.اصالت/ارزش: ارزش مقاله حاضر در بررسي تطبيقي مداخل زندگي‎نامه‎ايِ دايره‎المعارف‎هاي كودك و نوجوان از نظر معيارهاي ارزيابي است و نشان‎دادن اين نكته كه آنها از روزآمدي لازم برخوردار نيستند.

Purpose: The objective of present study is comparative study of children’s encyclopedias Published in Iran, according to the research variables (entries number, structure, writing, reputation, up-to-dateness, and biography types) for determination of their strengths and deficiencies.Methodology: This is an applied research in which the comparative and content analysis methods were used. The research population includes three encyclopedias for children and young adults published in Iran, besides World Book encyclopedia and Children’s Britannica encyclopedia that used for comparison. The research population was consisted of 432 joint biographical entries appeared in the each of five encyclopedias. 67 entries per encyclopedia (totally 201entries) were selected as research sample.Findings: The research findings showed that the Iranian encyclopedia for young people was the best in comparison to others on the basis of measures such as quantity of evaluation criteria (entry number, structure, writing, reputation, up-to-datedness, biography types) presence, and criteria quality. Findings on the biography types showed that all three encyclopedias had selective biographical entries while neglecting the universality led them to retrospective entries with old information.Originality/Value: The research seems valuable because of its detail comparison of encyclopedias on the basis of selective measures. Also, it shows that all of the Iranian encyclopedias are not up-to-date and consisted of retrospective entries.
