Hablolmatin and the Khaz'al Rebellion

جريده هفتگي حبل المتين در نتيجه سال ها كوشش و مجاهدت مستمر مدير آن، سيدجلا ل الدين كاشاني ملقب به مويد الاسلام، سهم چشمگيري در روشن كردن اذهان عمومي داشت. با آغاز خيزش شيخ خزعل در مقابل دولت مركزي ايران و سردار سپه و جانبداري دولت انگلستان از آن، حبل المتين از موضع حفظ استقلال با دخالت دولت هاي بيگانه در امور داخلي ايران، با شيخ خزعل مخالفت كرد. اين روزنامه در شماره هاي مختلف، به افشاي نيات اصلي بانيان اين خيزش، به خصوص اهداف و فعاليت هاي دولت انگليس در پيدايش و فرجام آن پرداخت. در اين مقاله با استفاده از منابع كتابخانه اي و مطالب روزنامه حبل المتين كوشش شده است با توجه به اهميت و جايگاه خيزش خزعل در تاريخ معاصر ايران و نيز اهميت اين جريده، مواضع و ديدگاه هاي اين روزنامه در قبال قيام سعادت و دخالت هاي دولت انگليس در اين زمينه و فضاي فكري مدير آن نسبت به شخص رضاشاه بررسي شود. گرداننده حبل المتين مانند بسياري ديگر، رضاخان را تنها گزينه براي پايان دادن به وضعيت آشفته ايران در آن عهد مي ديد.

The weekly newspaperHablolmatin was the fruit of many years of hard work and constant endeavors of its director Seyyed Jalal din Kashani known as Mo'ayyed al-lslam, and played an integral part in raising public awareness. At the outset of Sheikh Khaz'al rebellion against the central government of Iran, and the person of Reza Khan, the uprising was supported by Britain. Hablolmatin took a tough stance in favor of Iran's independence and non-interference of foreign powers in Iran's sovereign matters, therefore, the weekly gazette was against Sheikh KHaz'al. The gazette revealed the hands behind this rebellion and exposed the intentions of its founders, specifically the goals pursued by Britain throughout the rebellion 's inception and doom. Considering the importance of Khaz"al rebellion in Iran's contemporary history, the author has employed library sources and the texts of Hablolmatin to examine the viewpoints of this newspaper about the Sa'adat rebellion, Britain's interferences in this context and the intellectual atmosphere of 1-lablolmatin ' s editor regarding Reza Shah. Like many others, the director of Hablolmatin perceived Reza Shah as the only effective end to the chaotic situation of Iran at the time.
