سنجش ميزان همخواني كليد واژه‏هاي مقالات مجله علوم پيراپزشكي با MeSH

Measuring the Compliance Rate of Keywords of the Articles of Journal of Paramedical Sciences with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)

مقدمه: با توجه به اهميت بهره‌گيري از ابزارهاي نمايه‌سازي همچون اصطلاحنامه‌ها و سرعنوان‌هاي موضوعي پزشكي در ذخيره و بازيابي اطلاعات پزشكي، مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعيين ميزان همخواني كليد واژه‌هاي مقالات مجله انگليسي زبان علوم پيراپزشكي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي شهيد بهشتي (Journal of Paramedical Sciences) با سرعنوان‌هاي موضوعي پزشكي MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) انجام شد.روش بررسي: اين مطالعه توصيفي- مقطعي از نوع كاربردي و ابزار جمع‌آوري داده‌ها، چك‌ليست محقق‏ ساخته بود. در مجموع 1143 كليد واژه مستخرج از 269 مقاله منتشر شده در 24 شماره اين مجله با MeSH مورد مقايسه قرار گرفت و بر اساس چك‌ليست در سه گروه همخوان‏كامل، همخوان ‏نسبي و ناهمخوان طبقه‌بندي گرديد.يافته‌ها: طي سال‌هاي مورد بررسي، به طور ميانگين 277 كليد واژه (2/24 درصد) همخوان‏ كامل، 409 كليد واژه (8/35 درصد) همخوان‏ نسبي و 457 كليد واژه (0/40 درصد) با اصطلاحات موجود در MeSH ناهمخوان بود. كليد واژه‌هاي بخشي همخوان يا همخوان با اصطلاح شناسه، بيشترين تعداد كليد واژه‌هاي همخوان ‏نسبي را تشكيل داد.نتيجه‌گيري: نويسندگان مقالات اين مجله دانش كافي در زمينه انتخاب كليد واژه صحيح با استفاده از MeSH را نداشتند. ضروري است كه استفاده صحيح از MeSH به نويسندگان آموزش داده شود. همچنين، هيات تحريريه اين مجله ايراني انگليسي زبان در حوزه پيراپزشكي نيز بايد از نويسندگان بخواهد كه هنگام ارايه مقاله، كليد واژه‌هاي خود را بر اساس MeSH تنظيم نمايند.

Introduction: Considering the importance of using indexing tools such as thesauri and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) in storage and retrieval of medical information, this study was performed with the aim to determine the compliance rate of keywords of articles published in an English-language journal Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Journal of Paramedical Sciences, with the MeSH. Methods: This was a cross-sectional and descriptive study using applied method. The data gathering tool was a researcher-made checklist. In total, 1143 keywords extracted from 269 articles published in 24 issues of the journal; those keywords were compared with MeSH, and were classified in three groups: exact match, partial match and no match. Results: During the investigated years, on average, 277 keywords (24.2%) were exact matches, 409 keywords (35.8%) were partial matches, and the 457 keywords (40.0%) were not match with the terms contained in the MeSH. Keywords in match or match with the entry term categories formed the largest portion of partial match keywords. Conclusion: The results show that the authors of this journal do not have sufficient knowledge on correct keyword selection with use of the MeSH, and it is necessary for them to be trained in the correct way. In addition, the editorial board of this English-language Iranian journal in the paramedical field should request authors to adjust their keywords based on the MeSH during article selection.
