An Investigation of the Effect of the Quality of Citations on the Scientific Productions of the Distinguished Authors based on the Relative Citation and the Format of Publications in the Web of Science during 2000-2009

بررسي كيفيت استنادها به توليدات علمي نويسندگان صاحب نام در رشته‌هاي مختلف موضوعي براساس ضريب تأثير رشته و نوع مدارك در بازه زماني ۱۰ ساله (۲۰۰۰-۲۰۰۹) در پايگاه وب آو ساينس آي. اس. آي هدف اين پژوهش است. روش‌شناسي: اين پژوهش با استفاده از روش تحليل استنادي انجام گرفته است. به‌منظور درك كيفيت استنادها به توليدات علمي نويسندگان صاحب نام در ميان رشته‌هاي مختلف موضوعي از شاخص‌هاي نرخ استناد نسبي و استناد نسبي رشته استفاده شد. يافته ها: استناد نقش مهمي در ارزيابي توليد علمي، مجله يا پژوهشگر دارد، به‌طوري كه در رتبه‌بندي‌ها، استناد بايد در كنار شاخص توليد علمي وجود داشته باشد. اگر مقدار اين شاخص‌ها بزرگ‌تر از يك باشد استنادات به توليدات علمي نويسندگان صاحب نام داراي اثرگذاري بالا در سطح رشته و در مجموعه مجلات اين نويسندگان مي‌باشد. در اين پژوهش كيفيت استنادها به نويسندگان صاحب نام براساس نوع مدارك در رشته‌هاي پزشكي باليني، اقتصاد و بازرگاني داراي شاخص نسبي رشته بيشتر از يك و براساس ضريب تأثير رشته مقدار اين شاخص در همه رشته‌ها به‌جز رشته علوم فضا بالاتر از يك بود. بحث و نتيجه‌گيري: در اين پژوهش كيفيت استنادها به نويسندگان صاحب نام براساس نوع مدارك در رشته‌هاي پزشكي باليني، اقتصاد و بازرگاني داراي شاخص نسبي رشته بيشتر از يك و براساس ضريب تأثير رشته مقدار اين شاخص در همه رشته‌ها به‌جز رشته علوم فضا بالاتر از يك بود؛ پس استناد به توليدات علمي نويسندگان صاحب نام داراي اثرگذاري بالا در سطح رشته ودر مجموعه مجلات اين نويسندگان مي باشد.

INTRODUCTION: The goal of this research is to investigate the effect of the quality of the citations on the scientific production of distinguished authors based on the relative citation and the format of publications in the web of science during 2000-2009. METHODOLOGY: This study was carried out using a citation analysis approach to examine the effect of the citations quality on the scientific production of the distinguished authors in different subject fields, relative citation rate, and relative sub-field impact rate. FINDINGS: Citations have an important role in assessing scientific publications, journals, and researchers. Thus, in rankings, citations should come along with scientific production indicators. If the results are more than 1(>1), the citations for scientific production of distinguished authors can affect the field level as well as the set of authors’ journals. The findings of this investigation showed that the quality of citations effect on the publications of distinguished authors based on the format of publications in clinical medicine, commerce, and business had a relative subfield impact of more than 1. In all subject fields except space science, the relative subfield impact rates were more than 1. CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this investigation showed that the quality of citations on the publications of distinguished authors based on the format of publications in clinical medicine, commerce, and business had relative subfield impact of more than 1. In all subject fields except space science, the relative subfield impact rates were more than 1, thus, the citation for scientific production of distinguished authors can impact the field level and the set of authors’ journals.
