Methodological Critique of Islamic-Iranian Model of Progress: an Economic Perspective

الگوي آرماني براي توسعه و پيشرفت جامعه ايران با چه روشي بايد بنا شود؟ جامعه ايران براي رسيدن به توسعه و گام برداشتن در مسير پيشرفت در درجه نخست بايد تضادهاي دروني خود را حل كند. براي تبيين اين ايده از روش‌شناسي جديدي استفاده مي‌‌كنيم كه نام آن را روش‌شناسي كل‌نگر گذاشته‌ايم و تلفيقي از رويكرد پديدارشناسي و روش ديالكتيكي است. با تحليل‌هاي انجام‌گرفته مبتني بر اين روش‌شناسي به اين نتيجه مي‌رسيم كه فرايند پيشرفت بايد متناسب با يك سرعت بحراني باشد تا نظم اجتماعي مختل نشود. اين سرعت بحراني متناسب با منطق حركت در ساحت اقتصاد است. به همين دليل نيز الگوهاي توسعه بايد با محوريت مسئله اقتصاد حركت كند. البته خواهيم ديد كه راه‌حل مسائل اقتصادي نه در خود ساحت اقتصاد، بلكه بايد در ساحت فرهنگ و سياست جستجو شود. اين وضعيت ديالكتيكي بين ساحات مختلف جامعه وضعيت متناقضي را به وجود آورده كه تشخيص مسائل اصلي پيشرفت را با توجه به منطق صوري و رياضي حاكم بر پارادايم غالب توسعه، با مشكل مواجه ساخته است. در اين مقاله نشان داده‌ايم كه مسئله اصلي پيشرفت را بايد در تضادهاي بين مشروعيت و كارايي جستجو كرد و راه‌حل آن‌هم نهادسازي در جهت حل اين تضادها است. اين تضادها، در تنش بين لايه‌هاي مختلف واقعيت و تحميل منطق يك ساحت از جامعه به ساير ساحت‌ها، ريشه دارد. به اين منظور نيازمند منطقي هستيم كه بتواند اين تضادها را شناسايي و در قالب نظريات توسعه صورت‌بندي كند.

What is the method of establishing an ideal model for progress and development? The first step for development is recognizing the contradictions of Iran's society and then solving them. So we propose a new methodology that I called "holistic methodology". This methodology is based on phenomenology and dialectics. According to this methodology, we conclude that in order to we conserve social order, progress must be in conform it with the critical speed of social change. This critical speed must be consistent with the logic of motion in economic sphere. So development model must be designed with respect to this character of economic sphere. Of course, the problem of critical speed must be aligned in political and cultural sphere. So, the dialectical situation in social sphere leads to a paradoxical state in recognition of progress problems in mainstream development paradigm. We conclude that the main problem of progress is contradiction between legitimacy and efficiency. The main solution also is to devise a institutional design to solve contradictions. These contradictions are rooted in tension between the different layers of reality and also in the inconsistency of different logics in social sphere. So, we need a logic to give us development theories for recognizing and solving these contradictions.
