Data Metamorphis in public libraries and the role of librarians

هدف: كتابداران براي ادامه حيات در عصر دگرديسي اطلاعات و ارائه خدمات بهينه و مؤثر در اين محيط بايد به دانش و مهارت­ هاي ويژه ­اي مجهز شوند كه به طور كلي بيانگر «سواد اطلاعاتي» است. آشنايي با فنون استفاده از نرم ­افزار­ها و سخت ­افزارها، قوانين گزينش و ارزيابي منابع، نظام­ هاي شبكه­ هاي اطلاعاتي، توانايي جست­ و جو در شبكه پايگاه ­ها و بانك ­هاي اطلاعاتي، تسلط بر كار با نرم ­افزار­هاي كتابخانه ­اي، توانايي تجزيه و تحليل مسائل، توانايي انجام پژوهش در حوزه كتابداري و اطلاع­رساني، و توانايي آموزش استفاده­ كنندگان از جمله اين مهارت­ هاست. هدف از اين پژوهش بررسي تأثيرات عصر دگرديسي اطلاعات در كتابخانه‌هاي عمومي و نقش كتابداران است. روش ­شناسي: روش اين پژوهش مروري مي‌باشد. يافته ها: كتابداران بايد قبل از ورود به بازار كار اين مهارت ­ها را كسب كرده باشند تا هر چه بهتر بتوانند نقش واسطه­ ا­ي خود را ميان منابع اطلاعاتي و كاربران ايفا كنند. اين وظيفه بر عهده سيستم آموزشي از طريق برنامه ­هاي درسي مناسب دانشگاه است تا كتابداران و اطلاع­ رسانان را براي ورود به عرصه اطلاعات آماده سازد. بحث و نتيجه‌گيري: گرچه تربيت كتابداران جديدي كه با فناوري نوين اطلاعاتي آشنا و به عنوان متخصص علم اطلاعات و دانش شناسي تربيت شده باشند، بسيار ضروري و مورد نياز است، اما بايد زيرساخت­ هاي اطلاعاتي كشور، ارزشي كه جامعه براي اطلاعات قائل است، نگرش و طرز برخورد برنامه­ ريزان، سياستگذاران و تصميم­ گيرندگان، درجه رشد فناوري كشور، تغييرات فناورانه­ اي كه در شرف وقوع است و درخواست ­هايي را كه از سوي گروه هاي مختلف استفاده ­كنندگان نظام­ هاي اطلاعاتي انجام مي­ گيرد، مورد توجه قرار داد.

Purpose: Librarians to survive in the age of information metamorphis and to serve better and effective service in this environment should be equipped with particular knowledge and skills which expressed as "information literacy". Familiarity with the use of software and hardware techniques, laws of Selection and evaluation of sources, information network systems, the ability to search the Web sites and databases, Mastering the work with library softwares, Ability to analyze problems, the ability to conduct research in the field of library and information science, and the ability to educate consumers Are some of these skills. The purpose of this study is to introducing the impacts of Data Metamorphis on public libraries and the role of librarians. Methodology: This is a reviewed and analyzed research. Findings: Librarians before entering the labor market, must acquire these skills to do better their role between information resources and users. This task is the responsibility of the education system through proper college curriculum, which prepare librarians to enter the field work. Conclusion: While training new librarians who are familiar with new information technology and are trained as information specialists is much needed, the cultural environment that seriously affect the training offered should be considered. Also, information infrastructure of the country, the value society attaches to information, attitudes of planners, policy makers and decision makers, the growth of technology, technological change is happening and requests made by different groups of users should be considered.
