The Role of Poetics in Translations of Molana’s Mathnawi Poems Translated from Persian into English (Text in Persian)

نقش بوطيقا در ترجمه هاي اشعار مثنوي معنوي مولانا از فارسي به انگليسي

The present paper is an attempt to find and discuss the poetics of poetry translation of the nineteenth، twentieth، and twenty first centuries of English language and to compare it with three translations of the Book One of the Mathnawi translated from Persian into English in order to understand the relation between the poetics of poetry translation of a particular time and its corresponding translation. To achieve this، first the poetics of poetry translation of these three centuries were found through library research. After that، each of these poetics was compared with the translation which was done with its corresponding time. The result made it clear that none of these three observed the poetics of their time. Although these translations were not in accordance with the poetics of poetry translation، this incongruity did not make them unacceptable.

هدف اين مقاله يافتن و بحث در مورد بوطيقاي ترجمه شعر قرن هاي نوزده، بيست و بيست يكم زبان انگليسي است تا بتواند هر يك از سه ترجمه منتخب از دفتر اول مثنوي به انگليسي اين مقاله را با بوطيقاي زمان خود مقايسه كند و در پايان رابطه ميان بوطيقاي يك زمان مشخص را با ترجمه موجود در آن دوره بسنجد. به منظور دستيابي به اين مهم، ابتدا بوطيقاي ترجمه شعر براي هر يك از اين سه قرن به مدد مطالعه كتابخانه اي يافت مي شود. پس از آن، بوطيقاي هر قرن با ترجمه اي كه مختص به زمان خودش است، مقايسه خواهد شد. نتيجه اين مقايسه نشان دهنده اين امر است كه هيچ كدام از اين سه ترجمه مطابق با بوطيقاي زمان خودشان نيستند. شايان ذكر است كه علي رغم عدم تطابق ميان بوطيقا يك دوره خاص و ترجمه موجود در همان دوره، نمي توان اظهار كرد كه اين ترجمه ها غيرقابل قبول هستند.
