Context and its Function in At-Ta'bir Al Qur'āni: Analyzing Fadhel Saleh al-Samarrai's Viewpoint

سياق از مقوله دلالتهاي عقلي و بهترين قرينه در كشف دقيق معاني آيات براي مفسرين، زبان شناسان وعلماي بلاغت مي­باشد. مساله اصلي اين پژوهش نيز تبيين، ارزيابي و چگونگي كاريرد آن در كتاب التعبير القرآني به قلم اديب عراقي، فاضل صالح السامرايي بوده كه با استقراء و گزينش برخي آيات از قرآن كريم انجام گرفته ­است. وي با هدف نشان دادن جلوه­ هاي ادبي اعجاز قرآن ضمن رد مساله تكرار به بيان اسرار آيات متشابه پرداخته­ است و ثابت نموده چگونه هر واژه­اي بر جاي خود آنچنان مستقر است كه امكان جابجايي با لفظ مشابه را ندارد؛ زيرا با روح كلمه و كلام يعني سياق پيوند خورده است. يكي از شاخصه­­ هاي مهم تبيين­ هاي او پيوند لغت و نحو با معاني در بلاغت است. وي در اين عرصه با تكيه بر آراء پيشينيان و كتب آنها مانند «ملاك التاويل» غرناطي و تطبيق ديدگاه آنان با سياق درون متني و برون متني، به ظرافت هاي معنايي تازه ­اي دست يافته كه مي­ توان آن را توسعه معنايي در بستر سياق تلقي نمود.

Context is one of the categories of rational reasoning and the best indication to meticulously discover ayahs' meaning for the commentators, linguists, and rhetoricians. The main concern of the present study, carried out using deduction and through selecting a number of Qur'anic ayahs is explicating, assessing and describing the manner of the use of context in the book entitled At-Ta'bir Al Qur'āni authored by the Iraqi scholar Fadhel Saleh al-Samarrai. While rejecting repetition, and aiming at depicting literary manifestations of the Qur'anic miracle, he has explained the mystery of mutashābih ayahs and has proved how each word is so fixed in its place that cannot be replaced by a similar word because it is mingled with the words' spirit and with discourse, i.e. context. One of the important yardsticks for his explanation is the connection of words and syntax with meaning in rhetorics. Drawing on preceding scholars' opinions and books such as Abū Ḥayyān al-Gharnāṭī's Milāk al-ta’wīl and comparing their views with intratextual and intertextual context, he has found novel semantic subtleties that can be considered context-based semantic expansion.
