بررسي نام جايِ «رودابد» در شاهنامه فردوسي

An Investigation of the Location of Rudabad in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh

پژوهندگان شاهنامه آن گونه كه بايد تحقيقات چنداني درباره مكان هاي شاهنامه انجام نداده اند، علاوه براين ضبط برخي از اين مكان ها در نسخه هاي خطي وچاپ هاي شاهنامه نادرست وپريشان است؛ نسخه نويسان شاهنامه هم تلاش چنداني براي ضبط صحيح اين نام ها انجام نداده وگاه به عمد آن ها را با نام ها وكلمات مانوس در روزگار خود جايگزين كرده اند.آنچه در اين مقاله به آن پرداخته شده است، بررسي و روشن كردن يك جاي نام و طرح دو احتمال در مورد جاي نام ديگري در شاهنامه است كه از حيث جغرافيايي با جاي نام مورد بحث كاملاً انطباق دارد. فردوسي در شاهنامه دو جا به ذكر «رودآبد» پرداخته كه از نظر شاهنامه پژوهان شناخته شده نيست و ناشناختگي نام اين شهر مايه برآشفتگي بسيار شده است. در اين مقاله سعي شده ، به بررسي مكان اين بوم و همساني نام اين شهر با «زورابد» شهري در نزديكي سرخس با قدمت تاريخي پرداخته شود.نتيجه پژوهش حاضر، پيشنهاد اين نكته است كه «رودآبد» شاهنامه همان شهر «زورآبد» يا «زورآباد» تربت جام است كه با نام جديد صالح آباد به پويايي و قدمت تاريخي خود ادامه حيات مي دهد.

No outstanding research has been done regarding the location of places in Shahnameh. Moreover، the records of some of these places in manuscripts and copies of Shahnameh are inaccurate. Scribes of Shahnameh have made no attempt to record these names in a perfect way and، at times، they have deliberately replaced them with the names and familiar words of their age. This study deals with clarifying of a place name and proposes two possibilities as to another place name in Shahnameh which accords geographically with the discussed name. Ferdowsi mentions the name Rudabad twice in Shahnameh which is unknown to researchers، and has led to some confusion. It is tried in this study to locate this region and to find whether it is possible to identify it with Zurabad، a city near Sarakhs. The results suggest that the Rudabad of Shahnameh is the same city as Zurabad or Zurabād of Torbat Jām، today called Salehabād.
