توليد محصولات باغي و فروش آن در بازار مصرف شهري مي تواند براي روستاييان ايجاد اشتغال و درآمد كرده و بازگشت اين سرمايه به داخل روستا باعث ايجاد خدمات زيربنايي و رفاهي و بطور كلي توسعه اقتصادي ـ اجتماعي روستا گردد. اين پژوهش به بررسي ميزان تاثير پيوندهاي ناشي از توليد محصولات باغي بر تحقق توسعه پايدار روستايي، در دهستان سولقان بعنوان توليد كننده و شهر تهران بعنوان بازار مصرف، مي پردازد. مطالعه در 6 روستاي منتخب كه با توجه به تعداد جمعيت و فاصله تا مركز بخش و استمرار توليد محصولات باغي انتخاب شده، انجام پذيرفته است. بر اساس مطالعات انجام شده در اين منطقه، با توجه به ويژگيهاي طبيعي و اقليمي شرايط نسبتا مساعدي جهت رشد و توسعه باغداري فراهم آورده، چنانچه باغداري مهم ترين بخش از فعاليتهاي اقتصادي ناحيه مورد مطالعه است. نتايج اين تحقيق كه با روش توصيفي ـ تحليلي و استفاده از داده ها و اطلاعات كتابخانه اي و ميداني )تكميل 237 پرسشنامه) انجام گرفته، نشان داد كه رابطه منتج از توليد محصولات باغي بين ناحيه مورد مطالعه و شهر تهران در تحقق توسعه پايدار روستايي موثر مي باشد. البته در اين زمينه مشكلاتي همچون كوچك بودن قطعات اراضي باغي و به تبع آن نظام بهره برداري خرده مالكي و استفاده سنتي از منابع آب وجود دارد.
