زمينه ها و علل تاسيس آموزشگاه توسط ميسيونرهاي امريكايي براي مسلمانان اروميه در سال 1840 م/1255 ق

The reasons and grounds of establishing educational institute by American Missionaries for Oromia Muslims during the years 1840AD/1255AH

ميسيونرهاي امريكايي در سال 1835م/1251ق وارد اروميه شدند و تا پيش از سال 1840م/1255ق، حاضر به فعاليت در ميان مسلمانان اين شهر نبودند، اما در اين سال، براي آنان آموزشگاهي تاسيس كردند. امريكايي ها تا پيش از سال 1840م/1255ق تحت حمايت دولت انگلستان بودند، اما در پي تيرگي روابط ايران و انگليس، حمايت بريتانيا را از دست دادند. (تاريخچه) اين پژوهش به واكاوي علل تاسيس آموزشگاه توسط ميسيونرهاي امريكايي براي مسلمانان اروميه مي پردازد. (مسئله) تاكنون پژوهشي مستقل در زمينه فعاليت ميسيونرهاي امريكايي در ميان مسلمانان اروميه صورت نگرفته است. (پيشينه) اين پژوهش در پي پاسخ به اين سوال است كه چرا ميسيونرهاي امريكايي در سال 1840م/1255ق براي مسلمانان اروميه آموزشگاه تاسيس كردند؟ (سوال) پس از تيرگي روابط ايران و انگليس، آن ها در پي كسب امنيت در ايران به فكر جلب حمايت پادشاه و مقامات ايراني افتادند. رقابت آنان با ميسيونرهاي فرانسوي نيز براي جلب توجه مقامات ايراني بود. علاوه بر اين، آنان شرايط تبليغ در ميان مسلمانان ساير شهرهاي ايران را مناسب نمي دانستند. (فرضيه) پژوهش حاضر بر آن است تا به شيوه توصيفي- تحليلي به بررسي علل تاسيس آموزشگاه مزبور بپردازد. (روش) اين پژوهش در پي بررسي علل شروع فعاليت آموزشي امريكايي ها در ميان مسلمانان اروميه است. (هدف) تاسيس آموزشگاه براي مسلمانان اروميه، تضميني براي ادامه فعاليت ميسيونرها بود. (يافته)

American Missionaries interred Oromia during the years 1835AD/1251AH and before 1840AD/1255AH, didn’t like to work among Muslims of the city, but established an educational institute for them. Americans before 1840AD/1255AH were supported by Britain, but after fading relations between Iran and Britain, they lost that support. (history) This study deals with looking into reasons of establishing educational institute by American Missionaries for Oromia Muslims. (proposal). Up to now, there would not been an independent research on the subject of American Missionaries(background). This research tries to answer the question that why American Missionaries established an educational institute for Oromia Muslims during the years 1840AD/1255AH. (question). After fading relations between Iran and Britain, they decided to attract king attention for achieving security in Iran. Their competition with French missionaries was also aimed at attracting the attention of Iranian officials. moreover, they did not consider the conditions of propaganda among Muslims in other cities of Iran suitable(hypothesis). The present study aims to investigate the causes of the establishment of the institute in a descriptive-analytical manner. (method). This research is looking for the reasons of beginning educational action among Oromia Muslims by Americans. (purpose). Establishment of institute for Oromia Muslims was a guarantee for missionaries to continue their activities. (found).
