چكيده فارسي :
شمس و مولوي دو شخصيت بزرگ عرفاني ـ ادبي، تأثير ژرفي بر يكديگر گذاشته‌اند. آن دو موجب تكامل و رشد روحي و سلوكي يكديگر شدند و از اين راه شهرت و پذيرش بي‌مانندي يافتند. شمس و مولانا با نشر و شرح آثار و افكار همديگر به پيشرفت و تكامل و شكوه و شهرت ادبيات و عرفان ايراني ـ اسلامي نيز افزودند. بسياري از پژوهشگران به تشابهات و نكات اشتراك ايشان پرداخته‌اند؛ اما در شيوة زندگي و نوع و روش سلوك آنها تفاوت‌ها و حتي تضادهايي ديده مي‌شود كه اين پژوهش براي اثبات بخشي از اين ادعا تهيه و تدوين شده است.
در اين جستار كوشش مي‌شود تا تضادها و تفاوت‌هاي شمس و مولوي با رويكردي تطبيقي بررسي شود و تفاوت‌ها يا تضادهاي شخصيتي اين دو از جنبه‌هاي مختلف زندگي و نوع پرورش، گفتار و رفتار بيان شود. درنتيجة اين بررسي علل و عوامل تفاوت يا تضادهاي فكري و سلوكي شمس و مولانا، ازنظر حالات و مقامات و مقالات آشكار مي‌گردد.
براي تبيين تفاوت‌ها و تضادهاي مولانا و شمس در نوع زندگي و معاش و نوع اخلاق و رفتار و گفتار و نيز نوع سلوك و مقام عرفاني، اين مقاله در سه بخش دسته‌بندي و تبيين شده است: بخش اول: تفاوت‌ها يا تضادها در زندگي فردي و اجتماعي؛ بخش دوم: تفاوت يا تضادهاي اخلاقي و شخصيتي؛ بخش سوم: تفاوت يا تضادهاي سلوكي و عرفاني.

Shams and Molavi, two of our great mystical-literary figures, have had a profound effect on each other. The two, along with each other's evolution and spiritual exaltation, as well as the unique reputation they have found in this way, by publishing and describing the works and thoughts of each other, added to the excellence, glory and reputation of Islamic literature and mysticism. Although many scholars have studied their similarities and commonalities, there are differences and even contradictions in their way of life and their behavior. The present research has been developed to prove this claim. In this study, we tried to check the Shams and Molavi’s differences and contrasts with a comparative method. We showed their personality contrasts and differences, different aspects of their life, the style of training, speech and behavior. Based on this study, we could understand the reasons behind these differences and contrasts in their opinion and behavior to justify their positions, states, and articles. The present research has been categorized and presented in three sections including: 1) the differences or contrasts in the individual and social life; 2) moral and personality contrasts; and 3) mystical contradictions and differences.
