قلب نحوي در زبان فارسي: رويكرد بهينگي

Scrambling in Persian: An Optimality Account

يكي از ويژگي‌هاي بارز زبان فارسي، وجود فرآيند قلب نحوي در اين زبان است. پژوهش حاضر به معرفي اين فرآيند در چارچوب بهينگي اختصاص يافته‌است. نتايج حاصل از بررسي ميزان مطلوبيت گزينه‌هاي مقلوب، با توجه به دو اصل و محدوديت نحوي در انگاره ي بهينگي يعني محدوديت‌هاي «هسته اجباري» و «ابقا» بررسي گرديد. داده‌هاي پژوهش حاكي از آنند كه به لحاظ مرتبه‌بندي محدوديتها در فارسي، مهلك‌ترين تخطي در فرآيند قلب نحوي، نخست، تخطي (حتي به ميزان يك‌بار) از محدوديت «هسته اجباري» و پس از آن تخطي از محدوديت «ابقا» (بيش از دوبار) است. فرآيند مذكور در رابطه با شواهد پژوهش و نيز قالب نظريه‌ي بهينگي نشان‌دهنده‌ي اين است كه در زبان فارسي، ميزان حركت‌ها ارتباط معكوس با مطلوبيت جمله‌ها دارند. در عين حال اين پژوهش نشان مي‌دهد كه جايگاه انتهايي فعل، عامل تعيين مطلوبيت جمله است. عامل مذكورتنها در تعيين مطلوبيت تركيب مقلوب نشان‌دار فاعل+فعل+ گروه حرف اضافه بي‌تأثير شناخته شد.

The present contribution provides a comprehensive analysis of Scrambling in Persian based on Optimality. Scrambling is considered as a syntactic process propelling constituents from their unmarked positions in sentences without changing the analytic meaning of the sentence. In this study, we try to portray two principles and constraints on Persian scrambling, namely, Obligatory Head (OB-HD) and STAY. Results show that the syntax of scrambling in Persian strictly adheres to the STAY constraint. It was demonstrated that top-ranked constraint Obligatory Head (OB-HD) violation is intolerable in all types of scrambling and outranks constraint STAY. However, the results of a statistical analytic model based on the optimal candidates delineate the intolerability of the low-ranked constraint STAY when it occurs more than twice. A close look at optimality tableaus illustrates that final position for verb leads to the optimal candidate in Persian, however, it is not the case for the S-V-PP marked order.
