سرزمين اندلس (اسپانياي كنوني) با طبيعتي سرزنده و زيبا اديبان بزرگي را در دامان خود پرورده است؛ هماناني كه ميراث ادبيات عربي را در زمينه هاي گوناگون از فرهنگ، تمدن، شعر، ادب، حكمت، زهد وتصوف پربارتر نموده اند. سرزميني كه نماد شوق واشتياق به وطن و سرزمين مادري است از اين رو بزرگان و سردمداران شعر و ادب آن ديار به تقليد وپيروي از شاعران واديبان مشرق زمين همت گماشتند و آثاري گرانبها از خود به جاي گذاشتند كه هر متفكري را به انديشه وا مي دارد و از آن جايي كه ادبيات از محيط تأثير مي پذيرد و فرمان روايان آن ديار نيز از مسلمانان بودند، لذا رنگ وبوي اسلامي به خود مي گيرد و مدائح نبوي و رسائل نبوي و شعر جهاد و استقامت رونق خاصي پيدا مي كند، بنابراين لازم است در ادبيات و تاريخ اين دوره مهم غور گردد و قدمي هرچند كوچك در اين ميدان برداشته شود. نگارنده مقاله، به دنبال آن است تا كتاب في الأدب الأندلسي را نقد، تنقيح و تصحيح نموده و نكات قوت و ضعف آن را بررسي نمايد به اميد آن كه در هرچه پربارتر شدن كتاب قدمي برداشته شود.
