با نگاة گذرا به تاريخ زندگي پيامبران الهي، اين واقعيت را به‌روشني مي‌توان دريافت كه آنان رهبري جوامع بشري را در حوزه‌هاي مختلف زندگي فردي و اجتماعي و نيز دنيوي و اخروي به‌دست داشته‌اند و در پي رسالت الهي خود، ضمن مبارزه با انواع انحرافات اعتقادي و اخلاقي با ناهنجاري‌هاي اجتماعي، اقتصادي و سياسي نيز شديداً برخورد مي‌كردند و براي اصلاح آن‌ها به تلاش‌هاي گستردة طاقت‌فرسايي دست مي‌زدند. حال آنكه سكولاريسم نظريه‌اي است كه بر محدوديت نقش دين در زندگي تأكيد دارد و يكي از خواسته‌هاي اصلي آن، جدايي دولت از نهاد دين است. سكولارها دين را امري فردي مي‌دانند كه شايستگي دخالت در امور مهم زندگي، از جمله حكومت را ندارد؛ به عبارت ديگر، آنان در پي حكومت و دولتي مستقل از دين هستند. از اين رو، هدف مقالهي حاضر آن است كه به سبك مسئله‌محور، با روش توصيفي‌ـ تحليلي و به صورت كتابخانه‌اي، اولاً به رهيافت علوي(ع) در مقولة دين و سياست دست يابد. ثانياً به نقد وارده بر نظرية سكولاريسم، مبني بر جدايي دين از سياست با توجه به ديدگاه امام علي(ع) بپردازد.

Having a glance at the lives of the divine prophets, we can see that they paid attention to the individual and social lives of the leaders of the societies, either in this world or the other world. Moreover, along their vocations, not only did they fight against doctrinal and moral deviations, but they also fought against Social, economic and political deviations and they did their best to redress them. But secularism is a theory that emphasizes the limitations of the role of religion in life and one of the secular main demands is the separation of religious institution from government. Secularists believe that religion is something individual and it should not interfere in life affairs such as government. In the other words, Secularists want a government independent of religion. Thus, the aim of this library research which is problem -oriented, with an Analytical method, is twofold. First, it tries to achieve Alavi approach in the field of religion and politics .Second, it tries to criticize the theory of secularism which is the separation of religion from politics based on the words of Imam Ali (pbuh).
