بررسي ميزان آگاهي دندانپزشكان و دانشجويان سال ششم دندانپزشكي شهر ساري از نحوه پردازش و انتقال بيوپسي هاي دهاني

Awareness of Dentists and Final-year Dental Students on Transport and Processing of Oral Biopsies

سابقه و هدف: راه تشخيص درست ضايعات دهاني با نماهاي مشكوكي، برداشتن نمونه با روشي مناسب و بررسي آسيب شناختي آن است و تكنيك اجراي بيوپسي نامطلوب منجر به خطاهاي تشخيصي طي ارزيابي هيستوپاتولوژيك مي شود. هدف از اين مطالعه ارزيابي ميزان آگاهي دندانپزشكان عمومي شهر ساري و دانشجويان سال ششم دانشكده دندانپزشكي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي مازندران از نحوه پردازش و چگونگي انتقال بيوپسي هاي دهاني بود. مواد و روش ها: مطالعه از نوع توصيفي- تحليلي و به روش مقطعي بر روي 150 نفر از دندانپزشكان عمومي و دانشجويان سال ششم دندانپزشكي در شهر ساري در سال 1394 انجام شد. پرسشنامه طراحي شده شامل اطلاعات دموگرافيك و سوالاتي درباره نحوه پردازش و انتقال بيوپسي هاي دهاني بود. داده ها به وسيله نرم افزار SPSS 17 با استفاده از آزمون T، آناليز واريانس (ANOVA) و ضريب همبستگي اسپيرمن تجزيه و تحليل شد. يافته ها: پرسشنامه ها توسط 150 نفر شامل 106 دندانپزشك (50 درصد مرد) با ميانگين سني 6/2±39/9 سال و 44 دانشجوي دندانپزشكي (50 درصد مرد) با ميانگين سني 2/6±24/6 سال تكميل گرديد. درصد آگاهي دندانپزشكان 54/4 درصد و دانشجويان دندانپزشكي 55/1 درصد بود كه از لحاظ آماري بين دو گروه تفاوت معني دار وجود نداشت (0/862=p). بين سطح آگاهي دندانپزشكان و تعداد شركت در دوره هاي بازآموزي پاتولوژي دهان، همبستگي معني دار مستقيم وجود داشت (P=0/017, r=0/219). استنتاج: درصد آگاهي دندانپزشكان و دانشجويان دندانپزشكي در اين زمينه پايين بود و بنابراين آموزش مستمر در اين زمينه، بسيار الزامي است.

Background and purpose: Accurate diagnosis of suspicious oral lesions is made by appropriate sampling and pathology examinations. Inappropriate biopsy can lead to diagnostic errors in histopathological examination of samples. The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of general dentists in Sari, Iran and final-year dental students in Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences on transport and processing of oral biopsies. Materials and methods: This analytical cross-sectional study was carried out in 150 dentists and final-year dental students, 2015. Data was obtained using a researcher made questionnaire consisting of demographic characteristics and questions on transport and processing of oral biopsies. Data analysis was done in SPSS V.17 applying t-test, ANOVA, and Spearman correlation coefficients. Results: The questionnaires were completed by 150 people, including 106 dentists (50% males and 50% females, mean age: 39.9±6.2) and 44 final-year dental students (50% males and 50% females, mean age: 24.6±2.6). No significant difference was found between dentists and dentistry students in levels of awareness (54.4% and 55.1%, respectively, P=0.862). Attending retraining courses of oral pathology showed significant positive correlation with the level of awareness (P=0.017, r=0.219). Conclusion: The knowledge of dentists and dental students on transport and processing of oral biopsies was poor, therefore, retraining programs are needed to enhance this knowledge.
