چكيده فارسي :
تنسر پارسايي افلاطوني مذهب بود كه سلطنت را رها كرده و گوشه نشيني اختيار كرده بود. او بنابر روايت هاي متون پهلوي از جمله كساني است كه نقش بسزايي در بر تخت نشستن اردشير ساساني داشت و با ياري نامه اندرزي خود، تدبير خويش را به او عرضه كرد. اين زاهد بي محابا آراء وعقايدِ مذهبي، جامعه شناسي، سياسي، اجتماعي، خانوادگي و غيره خود را مطرح مي ساخت. با مطالعۀ اين نامۀ اندرزي مي توان به ميزان دانش وتسلط ِ اين شخصيت به مسايل گوناگون ديني، اخلاقي و غيره پي برد. زبان تنسر در نامۀ اندرزي جسورانه است، و مخاطب هيچ شك، ترديد و ناخالصي در گفته هاي وي نمي يابد. هرآن چه كه روح بلند ِاو را آزارمي دهد بركاغذ روان مي سازد و بدون ترس و نگراني و باشور وحال مسايل ِ متعدد را مطــرح مي كند. در فحواي اين نامۀ انــدرزي، به وضوح مـي توان نويسنده اي روشنفكـر و انديشمند را يافت كه با پشتوانۀ غني ديني و فرهنگي مي نويسد. مطالعۀ اين نامۀ تاريخي، حظي وصف ناپذيربه مخاطب مي بخشد كه مي تواند راهنماي مسير زندگي او باشد. ابن اسفنديارِكاتب، از نويسندگان اواخر قرن ششم و اوايل قرن هفتم، نامۀ اندرزي تنسر را به پارسي ترجمه كرد. در ترجمه و روايت ابن اسفنديار، نامۀ اندرزي تنسر از سه بخش: عنوان آغازين، متن اصلي و ختمِ مكتوب تشكيل مي شود، كه هر كدام از اين سه بخش، اركان فرعي را نيز در بر مي گيرند. هدف مقالۀ حاضر بررسي مضمون و درونمايۀ نامۀ اندرزي تنسر است.
