The relationship between political theology and political philosophy

اين نوشتار به بررسى نسبت بين دو حوزه مهم انديشه سياسى اسلام، يعنى كلام سياسى و فلسفه سياسى مى‌پردازد. بر خلاف تصور برخى كه فلسفه سياسى اسلام را به كلام سياسى تقليل مى‌دهند، اين دو حوزه از هم مستقل و متمايز بوده و به رغم برخى تشابهات، به لحاظ روش، موضوع و مسائل متفاوت هستند. فلسفه سياسى در دوره اسلامى رشته علمى متمايزى را در خانواده علوم فلسفى تشكيل مى‌داده است، اما مباحث كلام سياسى در درون مباحث كلامى شكل گرفته و مورد توجه قرار مى‌گرفت.

This paper brings into consideration the relationship between the two important fiels in the Islamic political thought, i.e. the political theology and the political philosophy. Contrary to the beliefs of some who reduce the Islamic political philosophy to political theology, these two fields are independent of each other, and despite some similarities they are different with respect to method, subject matter, and some other aspects. Political philosophy was a distinguished discipline among the philosophical sciences, but political theological issues were only part of the theological issues.
