بازتاب منازعه هويتي در ابزارهاي فرهنگي مطالعه اسكناس‌هاي ايراني دوره پهلوي دوم و جمهوري اسلامي

The Reflections of Identity Conflicts in Cultural Instruments: a case study of Iranian banknotes in Pahlavi and Islamic Republic eras

مطالعه حاضر از طريق روش تركيبي تحليل محتوا و نشانه‌شناسي، منازعه هويتي در دو دوره جمهوري اسلامي و پهلوي را در اسكناس‌ها به مثابه يكي از ابزارهاي فرهنگي مورد مطالعه قرار داده است. يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش نشان مي‌دهد، نظام نشانه‌اي بر روي اسكناس‌ها در دوره پهلوي دوم از تغييرات فرهنگي بر اساس الگوهاي مدرن حكايت مي‌كند و تركيبي از الگوهاي باستاني و به ويژه دوره هخامنشيان با الگوهاي مدرن مد نظر سيستم سياسي بوده است؛ بر عكس در دوره جمهوري اسلامي، الگوهاي هويت ملي در اسكناس‌ها، در دو نظام نشانه‌اي مذهبي شيعي و جهان‌گرايي اسلامي نمود يافته‌اند. در تحليل نهايي، مطاله اسكناس‌ها نشان مي‌دهد منازعه هويتي در هر دو دوره در ايران از طريق حذف و طرد بخش مهمي از عناصر ملي درجريان بوده است.

The present study aims at representing the elements of identity conflicts in the Persian banknotes in the first Pahlavi and the Islamic Republic eras by using content analysis and Peirce's semiotics. Our findings show that the sign system of banknote indicates a cultural change based on modern patterns, but at the same time, Pahlavi discourse has tried to represent ancient patterns (especially patterns of the Achaemenids). Synchronization of these two patterns seems to be somehow paradoxical. But in the Islamic Republic era, national identity represented by the religious symbolism in its non-historical form. In the final analysis, the results also show that in both of these historical eras, there was an identity conflict going on, so that political systems, in every period, tried to eliminate and banish some of the national elements.
