Empirical Study the Status of Necessary Infrastructure for Knowledge Management Implementation in Southern Ports of Iran

This study is conducted to surveying the Status of southern ports of Iran (Khorramshahr, Abadan, Iman Khomeyni, Boshehr, Shahid Rajaee, shahid Bahonar, and shahid Kalantari ports) form the necessary infrastructure for the knowledge management implementation, thus it is constructed into two phases on which the first one by using 1 to 9 scaled questionnaire, ports are surveyed form numerous Criteria such as information technology, organizational culture, organizational structure, human resources and Change Management. Then they are ranked due to their preference on scores. Next, by considering the obtained scores, each port by using decision Matrix of VIKOR method ranked based on those five Criteria. Finally, according to Victor value for surveyed ports, among them, shahid rajaee gets the best score and consequently Imam Khomeyni, khorramshahr, Boshehr, shahid Kalantari, shahid Bahonar and Abadan were followed orderly. The result showed that the surveyed ports are not well arranged from the necessary infrastructure for the knowledge management implementation, and also among the whole necessary infrastructure, technology and change management were the poorer one.
