Preparation and gas-sensing properties of CdGa2O4 semiconductors

This paper reports the preparation and gas-sensing properties of CdGa2O4. Raw powders of CdGa2O4 were obtained by sol–gel method. The effects of the calcining temperature on the phase constituents were characterized by XRD, and the microstructure was characterized by SEM. The conductance–temperature, gas-sensing properties of CdGa2O4 were investigated. The results demonstrated that CdGa2O4 could be used as a new type of gas-sensing materials that have a high sensitivity and good selectivity to C2H5OH.
