Glycolipids from Sponges. Part 9: Plakoside C and D, Two Further Prenylated Glycosphingolipids from the Marine Sponge Ectyoplasia ferox

Plakoside C (3a) and D (4a), two further glycosphingolipids with a prenylated galactose and cyclopropane-containing alkyl chains, have been isolated from the Caribbean sponge Ectyoplasia ferox. Structures 3a and 4a have been determined on the basis of spectral data and micro-scale chemical degradation.
