Abstract :
A Mathematica application for the production of QuickTime movies and GIF animations (angle to time conversion) to represent collisionally excited target states is presented. These states are described by scattering amplitudes (input) for the excitation of individual magnetic sublevels as a function of the projectile scattering angle or the ejected electron angle in ionization processes. Examples for electron-impact excitation and ionization processes are presented, but the program can also be used, for example, to visualize the results of ion-atom collisions, including charge transfer processes.
