Gold nanoparticles for diagnostic sensing and therapy

Gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) provide a unique platform for biomedical applications. Au NP-based sensors have been widely employed to detect many different chemicals and disease-related biomolecules. Recent research on drug delivery and therapy with Au NPs has also indicated attractive and promising prospects for future applications. In this invited review we will provide an overview of the use of Au NPs for diagnostic sensing and therapy applications.
