Abstract :
A new sequential uniform design procedure is developed in this paper. The uniform design based number-theoretic method recently developed in statistics was used for optimisation of electropherotic separation. The sequential procedure is introduced in order to reach the global optimisation for complete separation. The procedure was illustrated by separating five dithiocarbamate (DTC) compounds by capillary electrophoresis. These five DTC compounds, which failed to be separated by CE using the technique with changing one variable one time, were completely separated by the proposed procedure.
