Some nonlinear internal equatorial waves with a strong underlying current

We describe an exact solution of the nonlinear governing equations for the internal equatorial water waves with an underlying current in the f -plane approximation near the equator. These waves travel westward at a constant speed, and a strong uniform horizontal current underlies the flow.
