Specifics of the Stressed State of Coils for Supercritical-Pressure Convection Superheaters

Results are presented of a strength analysis of a coil in the heating surface of a supercritical-pressure convection superheater. It is shown that several failures can be due to the design of the support and suspension system. The necessity of accounting for the effect of the latter on the operating reliability of the heating surfaces of boilers is substantiated.
