Abstract
The opportunities for efficiently modernizing power stations by taking a detailed account of the individual features of the technology and layout as to monitoring and control are considered. An all-round analysis of the actual condition of the equipment of the installation enables as lo appraise the actual potential of its modernization, which frequently goes beyond the framework of the problems that were formulated initially.
