Abstract :
We report the magnetoimpedance effect under dc magnetic fields of tens of Oersteds in La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 polycrystalline sample prepared using the conventional solid state reaction method. The magnetoimpedance, magnetoresistance, and magnetoreactance of La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 have been found to vary sensitively on both the dc magnetic field and ac current frequency. The magnetoimpedance effect observed in the present work reveals a novel aspect of the interplay between magnetism and electronic transport in perovskite Mn oxides, which is of great scientific and technological interest.
