Abstract :
Mössbauer effect and electrical measurements in the temperature range 295–380 K for hexane–diammonium tetrachloroferrate are presented. The electric permittivity and conductivity reveal the presence of two phase changes at 325 and 345 K. The former is related to a rotational transition. Mössbauer parameters reflect only the 345 K transition, which is ascribed to a transition of a displacive type.
