Abstract :
Dielectric dispersion is shown to occur at microwave frequencies in single crystals of PbCo1/2W1/2O3 in the frequency range of 0.5–500 GHz. The frequency dependence of this dispersion can be explained in terms of a strongly damped ferroelectric soft mode occurring in the incommensurate phase and near each of the paraelectric–incommensurate and incommensurate–ferroelectric transitions.
