Abstract :
Deficient barium effects upon structural and magnetic properties of Pr0.7Ba0.3MnO3 have been investigated. Pr0.7Ba0.3−xMnO3 (0≤x≤0.1) powder samples have been elaborated by the conventional ceramic method at 1400 °C. All the samples crystallize in the orthorhombic perovskite system with Pnma space group. Vacancy presence in samples lead to modify the octahedra rotation and dimension in the structure without any structural transformation. All investigated samples exhibit a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition with decreasing temperature. The Curie temperature and the saturation magnetization, at 10 K, decrease slightly with increasing vacancy content.
