Abstract :
A polymer nanowire–macroporous weavelike structure (PNMWS) was created in a one-step sputter process by self-assembling. Rather than most polymeric self-assembly processes, relying on surfactant, block-copolymer, hydrogen bond compound and catalyst, it was constructed only by fluorocarbon polymer. The partially crystallized polymer is distinct from either fully crystalline self-assembly nanowire materials or magnetron sputter-deposited amorphous fluorocarbon polymers. It formed in a distinctive internal–external double constraining–guiding manner. Crystallized zone and long period may direct the growth and control the wire shape, while dangling bonds (DBs) may play a key role in constructing the PNMWS since they are mobile and guiding in the electromagnetic field. The PNMWS exhibits multi-enhanced ultraviolet absorption due to π-conjugated molecular structure and nanowire–pore reflection and size-barrier action due to the uniform size of the wire/pore. It can be used as novel precursors to fabricate various organo-inorganic materials for functional materials.
