Abstract
2,5-Bis(methoxycarbonyl)-3,4-diphenylcyclopentadienone (1a) reacts with prop-2-yn-1-ols (2) to give 3-methylene-2,3,3a,6a-tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]furan-4-one derivatives in the presence of trialkylamines.
