Abstract :
In summary, our data show that levels of both total and non-protein-bound homocyst(e)ine are approximately 25% lower at the time hepatic proteins display an acute phase response. If fasting homocyst(e)ine is being measured in the assessment of a patient with coronary artery disease, testing is best deferred for ≥7 days after AMI.
