Abstract :
Amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe-Zr-B-(Cu) alloys with different B content have been studied with the Mِssbauer spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. It has been shown that amorphous alloys show Invar type compositional characteristics whereas in the nanocrystalline state the residual amorphous matrix does not exhibit the exchange frustration due to enrichment with Zr and B. In the Mِssbauer spectra of the nanocrystalline alloys, besides of the contributions from bcc-Fe and amorphous phases, an additional component is observed and attributed to the crystalline grain-amorphous matrix interfaces.
