Dynamics in water-in-oil microemulsions

Studies of the dynamic processes occurring in microemulsions provide information about the nature, structure and stability of these organized assemblies, and facilitate their utilization. The use of established techniques and some novel experimental techniques has aided the investigations of the penetration of probe molecules into reverse micelles, the transient fusion of microemulsion droplets, the electric-field- and laser-induced distortion of droplet shape, and (above threshold values of the perturbation field) linear droplet-chain formation, phase separation and percolation.
