Abstract :
This study was carried out on some productive traits of two different crossbred dairy cows having 62.5% and 50% foreign blood at University of Khartoum farm, Sudan. The effect of lactation length on total milk yield was found to be highly significant (P 0.01). Effect of foreign blood percentage on total milk yield was found to be significant (P 0.05). Age at first calving had non-significant effect on total milk yield. The regression analysis of lactation length showed that there is non-significant effect of age at first calving and foreign blood percentage on lactation length. Crossbred dairy cows which have 62.5% Friesian blood performed better than 50% Friesian blood and secured advanced age at first calving.
