Colleague Solidarity Among Nurses and The Relationship Between Job Satisfaction

Aim: This study was planned to determine of colleague support among nurses and its relationship with job satisfaction. Method: This study id descriptive one. The space of the study was consisted by all nurses who work at three hospitals of the Ministry of Health and one university hospital in Isparta. The sample of the study was consisted by nurses who agreed to participate (n=300). Data were collected with Nurse Introduction Form, Colleague Soldiarity of Nurses’ Scale and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale. Results: As a result of analyses, it is observed that scores of %53.6 of the nurses are more than average. It is also observed that the solidarity attitudes of nurses are affected by socio-demographic properties such as age, place in which stayed longest, education levels of own, marital status as well as by working conditions such as the number of years worked and satisfaction of current position. In addition, between colleagues’ solidarity and job satisfaction are observed that to positive corelation.Conclusion: Our findings suggest that solidarity attitudes of nurses are more than average. In addition, colleagues’ solidarity is observed that to increase the job satisfaction.
