Abstract :
The aim of this research was to examine the day-to-day program changes in the Anatolian Fine Arts and Sports High Schools (AFASHS) music departments as well as to evaluate, according to expert opinions, the role of educational activities in this situation. This research was conducted to investigate the extent to which changes were made in the AFASHS music departments have taken place through educational activities, as well as, to better understand the elimination of deficiencies in practice related to the conclusions and suggestions obtained from the research. Also, the importance of leading to the work that can be completed on this subject, and the formation of resources. The research is descriptive in nature and was carried out by utilizing the scanning model. For this research, a literature review was conducted and data was collected through interview questions directed toward teachers working in the Fine Arts High School Music Departments for the 2016-2017 academic year, and interviews were also conducted with field experts. In the findings section, details were provided for program changes and course changes for the AFASHS day-to-day operations. A variety of findings were reached including comments on current curriculum and a comparison of previous programs. The research results are provided under two headings; according to either the teachers or experts responses. The teachers and experts alike, pointed out that program changes were made with good intention and thought but because of a lack of infrastructure problems can be caused when using the existing curriculum. It is recommended that following the program changes, the achievement status of the first graduates should be examined.
