Abstract :
In this research, relation between the empathic skill levels of elementary school fourthgrade students and the parental attitudes perceived by them is studied. Sampling of the researchconsists of 417 students. Personal Information Form, Empathy Scale for Children and ParentalAttitude Scale were used in the research. The t-Test, Kruskall-Wallis H Test, Mann-Whitney UTest and Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used in the research. Empathic skill levels of girlstudents were found to be higher compared to boy students in the research. A significant andnegative relation was found between the empathic skill level and the parental attitude.
