Abstract :
The protection of international peace and security is through the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals forming societies. In this respect, the United Nations undertaking the mission to protect international peace and security give great importance to the protection of human rights while fulfilling this mission. On behalf of previously bad experiences not happen again, several treaties were adopted by the United Nations; through these conventions the human right was tried to protect. But since the protection of human rights is not the main objective of the United Nations, the protection mechanisms envisaged in UN treaties have not provided effective protection to human rights. Nonetheless, the mechanisms formed by the United Nations being such as to a universal organization is the basis for optimum protection in the long term.
