Abstract :
In this study, when analyzing the importance of human capital in Turkey s economy is considered as an essential element of economic growth. Econometric analysis using statistical data for the period between 2009 and 1960 were made in Turkey. These parameters were used to analyze the Human Development Index. Mainly depends on the development of human capital factor for the economic development and stable growth of a developing country such as Turkey. In this study human capital factors, economic, social and strategic importance was emphasized. The strengths and weaknesses of the human capital in Turkey have been analyzed. Characteristics of human capital concepts, elements, functional status, and is closely associated with the concept of social capital, intellectual capital with which other similar concepts are discussed. The development of human capital investment, education, health, training, income and economic development is related to exactly the level of his life. The aim of this study is the relationship between the importance of the concept of human capital and economic growth, knowledge and how to use technology developments in the global and national economy becomes important, to improve productivity, quality and creating skilled labor, creating a stable economic growth, competitiveness in the world market and to take advantage arises the importance of human capital. Econometric analysis with economic growth, education, health, employment, productivity, university-school enrollment quantity, population growth and survival, such as multivariate short and a long-term causal relationship has been sought. Granger causality test and Toda-Yamamoto (MWALD) causality tests were used. Unit-Root tests and Zivot-Andrews fracture test was conducted.
